The author and the editorial note
Why OPEN was written in a direct voice, and how its stories protect the people who made the work possible.

The work behind the book
Bernhard Thilo has worked in personal development since 2011 and has coached full time since 2017. His work focuses on emotional release, self-esteem, relationships, and the patterns that leave people repeating outcomes they do not want.
OPEN grew out of lived experience, years of conversation with women who wanted more from love, and a near-decade relationship in which Bernhard saw firsthand what a safe, fulfilling partnership can make possible in a woman’s life.
The work is not about winning a man or following a script. It is about becoming clear enough to recognize a relationship worth building, and reachable enough to participate in it fully.
A note on the stories
The stories in OPEN are drawn from personal experience, relationships Bernhard has observed, and women he has coached. Names and identifying details are changed. Some accounts combine elements from more than one real situation.
The purpose is not to put private people on display. It is to make the emotional pattern clear enough that the reader can recognize it in herself.
Why this website exists
This site expands on the book’s ideas without replacing it. It is for women who want to understand the material before reading, revisit an idea after the book, or continue exploring the questions that matter most in real relationships.
The book’s vocabulary is deliberately visible here: emotional armour, the original self, discernment, emotional navigation, values, and reciprocity. These are not slogans. They are the language OPEN uses to make a difficult inner movement understandable.
